Mayor Chaim Levanon of Tel Aviv arrived here today for a six-day visit to the city Mayor Levanon who is repaying the visit of Mayor Robert F. Wagner to Tel Aviv and will go on to visit Chicago, Philadelphia, Boston and possibly West Coast centers.
During his stay in the United States, Mayor Levanon will study various municipal service set-ups and educational programs. He will also contact private banking circles to negotiate a $5,000,000 loan for the development of educational, sewage and water supply programs for his city.
Upon his arrival, the Tel Aviv chief executive was met by Deputy. Commissioner James J O’Brien and later was honored at a luncheon tendered by Mayor Wagner.
