Mayor Vincent R. Impellitteri signed a proclamation at City Hall ceremonies today making March 12 ORT Day in the City of New York “in recognition of the noble and constructive work performed by Women’s American ORT Federation, in the economic rehabilitation of uprooted Jews throughout the world.”
Similar proclamations were issued by the mayors of Chicago, Philadelphia, Newark and other cities.
