The Code Authority for the Retail Kosher Meat Trade will meet this week at the Hotel Pennsylvania to lay plans for a national registration of kosher butchers under the recently granted code, it was announced yesterday.

The announcement followed the release by the National Recovery Administration in Washington of the application of the Code Authority for a $202,427.32 budget for administration of the provisions of the code.

Kosher butchers will be obliged to contribute on the basis of five dollars a month payable quarterly in advance for every retail kosher meat establishment. Whenever such establishment has two or more persons in addition to the owner or manager engaged in the business, an additional levy of fifty cents per month is provided for each person so employed, with the exception of the owner or manager and one additional person.

Kosher butchers who fail to make the required payments will be liable to punishment under the law.
