The medal awarded by the Finnish Government to the late Dr. Saul Tschernichowsky, noted Hebrew poet who died this week, for his translation of the Finnish epic poem Kalevala will be returned to that government under the terms of Dr. Tschernichowsky’s will, it was revealed here today.
The Authors’ Association here today discussed the establishment of a memorial to the famed poet where various documents, personal belongings and other mementos of Dr. Tschernichowsky would be on permanent exhibit.
