Repression and persecution by the Hitler regime of Jewish medical men in Germany were denounced by the American Medical Association, holding its annual convention here.
The house of delegates of the organization unanimously adopted a resolution assailing Hitlerism in these words:
“The American Medical Association in annual convention assembled condemns the persecution of any individual on account of race or religion by any state or under any flag.”
The action of the house of delegates, it was explained, binds the thousands of members of the association. Dr. C. E. Morgan, of Somerville, Mass., offered the resolution on behalf of the public relations committee.
Dr. Leopold Dichtwitz, former chief of staff of the Rudolf Virchow Hospital in Berlin and president of the German Congress of Internal Medicine, attended the convention here. He declined to comment publicly on his experiences in Germany.
