Dr. George S. Wise, chairman of the board of governors of Hebrew University, canceled today a special meeting of the board next month which was to have elected a new president of the university.
Dr. Wise said the postponement decision followed a request by the standing committee of the university Senate and that the regular meeting would be held next March. Asked whether he would be a candidate for the university presidency, Dr; Wise said “I am ready to accept any post I am called upon to fill.”
