The Mizrachi organization at a stormy meeting held here last night approved the resignation of Heschel Farbstein from the Jewish Agency Executive.
Mr. Farbstein was joined in his resignation by Emanuel Neumann of New York. Both protested against cuts in the budget, holding that the work of their departments was rendered precarious.
The General Zionists likewise held a meeting, which continued throughout the night, with the participation of the Laborites, but arrived at no solution.
They hope that Nahum Sokolow, president of the Jewish Agency for Palestine and Dr. Leo Motzkin, chairman of the Zionist General Council, will be able to find a solution when they arrive next week.
Mr. Farbstein informed the Jewish Telegraphic Agency that the resignations were due not only to disagreements on budget cuts, but to the fact that he and Mr. Neumann are always voted down at meetings of the Executive.
