Local newspapers reported today that former Premier Golda Meir would meet with President Ford when she visits the U.S. at the end of this month as the guest of the AFL-CIO. She is also scheduled to meet with Vice-President Nelson Rockefeller and leading members of Congress, the reports said. Mrs. Meir was invited by the trade union’s president, George Meany. She will receive the AFL-CIO “Person of the Year” award.
