Melach Ravitch, Polish literary man who is nere on a visit following a tour of the world, was guest of honor last night at a meeting arranged by the Peretz Verein, Yiddish Writers’ Union, at the auditorium of HIAS, 425 Lafayette street.
Speakers included Manny Leib, poet; I. Opatauschu, short story writer; A. Niger, literary critic; Dr. Samuel Margoshes, of The Day; Abraham Raisin, poet; H. Levick, playwright; Hillel Rogoff, of The Forward and Dr. L. Fogelman chairman of the meeting.
