Lord Melchett (Alfred Mond), prominent British industrialist and Jewish leader, has cancelled all his engagements for the next three weeks, being confined to his room with an attack of phlebitis, according to an official statement from his office to the Jewish Telegraphic Agency. Lord Melchett has been ill since his return from his recent visit to the United States and Canada.
