Melvin L. Krulewitch, Marine Corps veteran who saw active service in both World Wars, was sworn in yesterday as a brigadier general in the Marine Corps Reserve. Gen. Krulewitch, who is chairman of the New York City Council of the National Jewish Welfare Board, has been decorated with the Bronze Star, Gold Star and Purple Heart with oak leaf cluster.
