Member states of the Pan-Arab League were urged today to contribute to a fund to help Palestine Arabs “resist” land purchases by Jews.
Speaking at a meeting of the economic and agricultural sub-committees of the league, Azzam Bey, secretary general of the federation and Minister for Arab Affairs in the Egyptian Cabinet, attacked the “Zionist imperialist invasion” in Palestine and urged the Arab states to consider his proposal for financial assistance for the Palestine Arabs.
