Canada’s official attitude to the various proposals on Palestine now before the U.N. Security Council was formulated yesterday by Cabinet members here. Government leaders are conferring on this subject with Lester Pearson, Under-Secretary for External Affairs, who played an important role in the partition decision during the General Assembly session last November.

Col. David Croll, Jewish member of Parliament, today insisted that the Canadian Government press for the implementation of the partition decision. Expecting the final decision on the carrying cut of the partition plan to rest with the Big Five, Col. Croll said that “this was an opportunity for Canada to help the Big Five decide how to achieve implementation.”
