Membership in the National Socialist party has been forbidden priests and instructors at theological seminaries of the Evangelical Church of Rumania by the synod of the church.
The prohibition is set forth in a recent edict by the synod, and reflects the position taken by Bishop Glondys, who declared some time ago that he rejected any subjection of the church to a party leader.
The order is considered a reverberation of the German church conflict.
