Kurt Lewin, Israeli representative to Austria, today unveiled a memorial at the Jewish cemetery in Eisenerz-Styria honoring the 3,000 Hungarian Jews who were murdered during the infamous death march from Hungary to the Mauthausen concentration camp in Austria in 1945. Representatives of the Austrian and Hungarian Governments, as well as more than 100 inmates of the Admont displaced persons camp–including three survivors of the death march–attended the unveiling ceremonies. Mr. Lewin, in an address denouncing terrorism, deplored the assassination of Count Bernadotte in Jerusalem last week.
