British Zionists last night held a memorial meeting for Dr. Leo Motzkin, who died earlier in the day in Paris following a heart attack.
Dr. Chaim Weizmann, noted Zionist leader, recalled his long association in Zionist work with Dr. Motzkin, dating from their student days in Berlin. He deplored the Jewish leader’s untimely death and pointed out that Dr. Motzkin will be badly missed by Jews throughout the world. “But the work of Zionism must go on,” he declared.
Earlier in the day the executive body of the World Zionist Organization met in special session to appoint Zionist representatives at the funeral which will be held in Paris and to discuss the chairmanship of the Actions Committee of the World Zionist Organization, which Dr. Motzkin held for several years, as well as the future of the Committee of Jewish Delegations, of which Dr. Motzkin was also chairman.
