Memorial services for Meier Dizengoff, late mayor of Tel Aviv, were held today at the World Zionist Organization offices here.
Lord Melchett, industrialist and Jewish leader, paid tribute to the Zionist who died last Wednesday, for his leadership in a “patriarchal capacity” as well as for his vision and farsightedness.
Dr. Chaim Weizmann, president of the World Zionist Organization, expressed his “deep personal loss” over Mayor Dizengoff’s death. Professor Selig Brodesky and the Rev. I. K. Goldbloom were other speakers Dr. Weizman presided.
