A memorial to Jewish victims of Nazisn and fascism has been partially destroyed in the Transylvanian town of Bistritza, it was learned here today.
The police are investigating the incident, the report said, adding that the Jewish and non-Jewish inhabitants of the town are incensed at the outrage. The memorial was unveiled last year at a ceremony attended by representatives of the military and civil authorities and preminent personalities from Bistritza and nearby areas.
