All Jewish organizations in Paris yesterday joined in ceremonies commemorating the 30, 000 Parisian Jews who were rounded up by the Nazis on July 16, 1942, and later deported to Nazi murder camps.
Floral wreaths were placed before a commemorative plaque in the Parisian Sports Arena where the Jewish victims were imprisoned for several days before being shipped to the death camps. Dr. Vidal Modiano, president of the Representative Council of Jews of France, and French Government officials joined in paying tribute to the victims.
