A new junior high school in Memphis has been named the “Peres School,” after members of the Jewish family of Peres that has been intimately connected for two generations with the school system of this city. Three members of the family, Jacob, the father, and Israel and Hardwig, the sons, have been presidents of the Memphis school board. The latter is the only one still living.
