The ways and means by which the synagogue can be effective in furthering the aims of social justice, will form the principal topic of discussion at the fifth annual convention of the National Federation of Jewish Men’s Clubs of the United Synagogue of America, according to an announcement issued by Edward C. Weinrib, Mount Vernon, N. Y., national President of the organization. The convention will be held at the Hotel Pennsylvania, New York City, on May 8th, coincident with the annual conventions of the United Synagogue of America and the Women’s League of the United Synagogue, to be held on May 7, 8 and 9.
Mr. Weinrib announced that in line with this aim the convention would concern itself with adult activities in connection with social justice. This subject will be discussed in detail by Dr. E. C. Lindeman, of New York City. “The Jewish Point of View” will be discussed by Theodore Charnas, of Mt. Vernon, secretary of the Federation.
