A new venture in the southern Jewish community will be launched when the first Southern Regional Men’s ORT convenes here Sunday at the Jewish Community Center, it was announced by Maurice Fox, general chairman of the Conference and president of Charleston Men’s ORT. The Conference will launch an organization drive to establish men’s ORT chapters in Southern communities. Keynote speakers are Robin Gilbert, Director of the World ORT Union, who will be coming from Geneva, Switzerland, and Rabbi Gilbert Klaperman, past president of the New York Board of Rabbis and chairman of the National Rabbinic ORT Committee.
