“Mexico is not aware of any anti-Semitic movement and such isolated instances as arise are promptly dealt with,” declared Senor Marte R. Gomez, Mexico’s Minister of Finance and Public Credit yesterday.

Senor Gomez, who is also president of the Board of National Railways of Mexico, appeared at City Hall yesterday to return the official call recently paid to the Mexican Government by Aldermanic President Bernard S. Deutsch.

After being greeted by Mr. Deutsch, Senor Gomez was escorted by the Aldermanic President to the other end of City Hall where he was duly received and welcomed to New York City by Mayor LaGuardia.

The Mexican official came North in his private car which was given free passage by the American railroads. He is stopping at the Waldorf-Astoria.
