Mexico’s new Minister to Israel, Gustave Ortiz Herman, will leave Mexico for Israel on Friday to take up his new post, it was made known today. The Mexican envoy, who was honored at a special send-off tendered him by the Jewish Central Committee here, asserted that “Seldom in human history has a people achieved such a victory as the Jewish people has achieved in Israel.” He pledged” that he would do all in his power to institute friendly relations between Mexico and Israel.
