Daniel Cromer, chairman of the Miami Jewish Rehabilatation Committee, on a visit to New York City, when interviewed by the representative of the “Jewish Daily Bulletin”, stated, “My latest advices from my associates on the Relief Committee from Miami, are to the effect that the sum of $100,000, a call for which was issued to bring succor to the stricken Jewish community, is inadequate, because of the further distress revealed by actual facts.
“The Jews of Miami have but recently oversubscribed their quotas in the recent campaigns for the United Jewish Campaign and the United Palestine Appeal and we sincerely hope that at this moment of affliction, the American Jewish community will rally to our support.”
