Michael Daroff, president and chairman of the Board of Botany Industries, has been appointed chairman of the Sponsors Committee for the United Nations Ball to be held at New York’s Waldorf Astoria hotel on October 21.
The proceeds go to the Association to help its activities in education, research and dissemination of information. Serving with Mr. Daroff as general co-chairmen for the Ball will be Mrs. Arthur J. Goldberg, wife of the U.S. Ambassador to the U.N., and Mrs. Francis T.P. Plimpton, wife of the former Deputy U.S. Ambassador. President and Mrs. Lyndon Johnson are honorary patrons of the Ball.
