Professor Albert A. Michelson, famous University of Chicago scientist, and Nobel Prize winner, has been awarded the Duddell medal of the London Physical Society for 1930, he was notified yesterday by the British Consul in Chicago. The medal is awarded annually to the scientist who makes a notable contribution to “the advancement of knowledge by the invention or design of scientific instruments.”
