Judge Benjamin Nathan Cardozo of New York was awarded an LL.D. degree by the University of at its commencement excercises Tuesday. The official citation reads:
“Judge Benjamin Nathan Cardozo of the New York Court of Appeals, a jurist of eminent distinction, an author learned authoritative books in the field of legal science, he is widely recognized by his associates at the bar as one of America’s leading scholars. For his brilliant attainments and his notable contributions to jurisprudence, the University confers upon him her mark of honor.”
