The Plains-States Regional conference of Jewish Community Center and Welfare Federations will be held in Omaha next Saturday evening and all day Sunday.
Speakers at the conference will include Dr. I. M. Rubinow, executive director of B’nai B’rith; George W. Rabinoff of New York, executive director of the National Council of Jewish Federations and Welfare Funds; Rabbi Ferdinand M. Isserman of St. Louis and Dr. George J. Gordon, director of the Minneapolis Talmud Torah.
Over two hundred delegates are expected to attend.
The conference will emphasize the need for an exchange of opinion and experiences on problems of community organization and functional developments in the communities in the mid-west region. Functional fields of Jewish social service as well as general fields will be discussed.
The conference is under the auspices of the National Conference of Jewish Community Centers and Welfare Federations. Philip Klutznick of Omaha is general chairman and Jacob S. Pearlstein is secretary of the regional conference.
