The government today prohibited the existence of Brith Trumpeldor, a Zionist youth organization.

The order was issued by the government on the pretext that the group is allegedly engaged in militaristic activities.

Bucharest University, which has been closed down since the last anti-Jewish riots there several weeks ago, was reopened this week. Jewish students, however, are abstaining from attending the lectures until it becomes certain that no anti-Semitic clashes will take place in the classrooms.

STUDENTS WARNED

The administration of the University has posted notices on the bulletin boards warning the anti-Semitic students against attacking their Jewish colleagues on University grounds or in the laboratories.

Dr. Vaida-Voevod, former Premier of Rumania who has been advocating the ousting of Jews from the professions and schools, has shown no signs of active propaganda during the last two weeks. It is understood that the cessation of Vaida-Voevod’s anti-Jewish propaganda is due to the fact that King Carol has expressed his disapproval of Vaida-Voevod’s methods.
