Military cooperation between Israel and Turkey was condemned during a meeting of the 22-nation Arab League in Cairo. “We call upon to reconsider its ties with Israel,” the group’s secretary-general said. Meanwhile, Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat reiterated his charge that Israel is planning to invade the self- rule areas when he declares Palestinian statehood next year. He called on the group he was counting on Arab support should that happen.
