About 1,000,000 francs monthly is required to provide food and other necessities for East European Jews in Paris affected by the war, including more than 120 prominent painters, actors and journalists, it was disclosed today after a conference of the Jewish Coordinating Relief Committee. The committee was established by the Joint Distribution Committee to organize and supervise free kitchens and other relief for East European Jews in France. The J.D.C. subsidizes the committee’s constituent organizations almost to the extent of 90 percent of their budgets.
