Because the members decided that the society had outlived its usefulness, the Bikur Cholim, one of the oldest Jewish benevolent associations in Milwaukee, has decided to dissolve and has filed articles of dissolution at the courthouse here.
The Bikur Cholim was established in 1862 as a sick and death benefit society and now has 79 members. The assets of the society will be divided among the present members, according to attorney Alex P. Greenthal, who filed the articles of dissolution.
