Widening its activities to meet demands created by the new leisure of workers under the NRA, the Jewish Center has just mapped out an unusually broad program of cultural and social attractions for the approaching fall season.
Politics, economics and religion; art, music and drama; sports, gymnastics and tournaments will be included in the lengthy leisure-time bill of fare that George M. Peizer, director of the Center, has just announced.
Nationally noted lecturers will appear at open forums, including among others, former Governor Philip La Follette of Wisconsin; Robert Maynard Hutchins, president of the University of Chicago; Rebecca Kohut, noted Jewess, and others. Thirty weekly Sunday afternoon round table discussion groups are also to be conducted.
