Rev. Dr. J. J. Davies, representing the Ministerial Association of this city and the Whitfield Methodist Church, protested the persecution of Jews in Germany at a meeting here.
His resolution reads in part: “Be it resolved, that we, members of the Sioux City Ministerial Association, Christians and leaders of Christians, emphatically protest against the German government’s persecution of, and discrimination against the Jews, as being in conflict with the spirit of Christianity and in direct violation of the divine teachings of our saviour, concerning the brotherhood of man, which precludes and condemns all discrimination and prejudice on account of race, color and religion.”
