The Israel Tourist Ministry announced today measures to improve service to tourists visiting the country. One of these will be establishment of “ethical committees” in the various tourist industries to police their industries, to hear charges and complaints and to take disciplinary actions.
Another measure gives the ministry the right to downgrade hotels and other tourist facilities for failure to maintain the quality of their service.
