The plenary meeting of to Polish Senate has rejected the proposal of the National Minorities, introduced on their behalf by Senator Dr. Braude, that the national minorities should be represented on the Presidium of the Senate in accordance with the proportion of their numbers in the Senate. The proposal was previously brought up by the representatives of the national minorities at the meeting of the Regulation Commission of the Senate, which rejected it, and they decided to bring it up again at the plenary meeting of the Senate. The elections to the Presidium will be held accordingly by ordinary majority voting, which will mean that the minorities, who have 25 Representatives in the Senate, fourteen of them Jews, will not be represented on the Presidium.
