Jewish sports organizations prepared to protest today as August Auskas, president of the Lithuanian Sports Chamber, announced that the First Lithuanian National Olympic Games in 1938 was intended for Lithuanians only and members of national minorities were not eligible for participation.

(President Antona Smetona on Jan. 7, in an address to a congress of the Government party, attacked Poland for persecution of minorities and declared that Lithuania would never become anti-Semitic or tolerate anti-Semitism.)
