The bill introduced by the Polish Government concerning the rights of the national minorities in Poland was passed yesterday by the Diet at its third reading, against the votes of the representatives of the national minorities.
The law gives recognition to the languages of the White Russians, Ukrainians, Russians and Germans, for use in the courts, schools and government offices in the territories of the minorities. Yiddish is not among the minority languages which have been given recognition.
