Mischa Levitzky, noted pianist and composer, died at his home here yesterday of a heart attack at the age of 42. He leaves a widow, a sister and three brothers.
Born in Russia on May 25, 1898, Levitzky became a child prodigy at the age of six. Coming to this country in 1907, he later returned to Europe to launch a sensationally successful career. He made his New York appearance in 1916, which started him on a series of tours of the United States. He also toured Australia, New Zealand and the Orient.
