Judge Mitchell H. Cohen of Camden, N.J., has taken office as United States District Court Judge in the New Jersey district. Chief Judge Thomas Madden administered the oath of office to the new Federal Jurist.
Representatives of the American Bar Association, New Jersey Bar Association and the Bar Associations of Camden, Middlesex, and Ocean Counties took part in the ceremonies and lauded Judge Mitchell for his service as a Judge in the New Jersey State court system and as a member of the Bar. Prior to his Federal appointment, he was a member of the New Jersey Superior Court since 1961. In 1950, he served as chairman of the Camden County Allied Jewish Appeal.
