The Israel-Jordan Mixed Armistice Commission, with the Israeli delegation absent, decided today to ask Israel to move an artillery training range from an area close to the Jordanian border.
The action came after a Jordanian complaint that some of the Israeli shells sailed across the demarcation line and landed in Jordan-held territory. The wide firings, which were characterized a breach of the armistice pact, were alleged to have occurred on February 16.
