The 27th annual convention of the Mizrachi Organization of America opened here tonight at the St. Charles Hotel attended by several hundred delegates from all parts of the country.
The convention is expected to oppose the Palestine partition plan and to insist on the establishment of a Jewish state in the whole of Palestine. Indication to this effect was given in a statement issued by the headquarters of the convention declaring that “partition of Palestine in any form would be contradictory to Jewish religion.” However, the statement admits that “a small minority” among the delegates is inclined to accept a compromise.
