The executive of the British Mizrachi Federation today denounced the recent Orthodox demonstration in front of the New York Consulate of Israel as being “against the best interests of traditional Judaism.”
The executive’s statement added that the demonstration was an “irresponsible manifestation of a hostile attitude towards the State of Israel harbored by a small frustrated minority.” The demonstrators were protesting the Israeli law conscripting Orthodox young women for non-military service.
