The split within the Jewish National Council caused by the withdrawal of the Mizrachi and Poale Mizrachi delegates was partially healed today when the latter group voted to instruct its representative, S.Z. Shragai, to return.
The Poale-Mizrachi action came as a result of a resolution adopted by the council urging strict observance of the Sabbath in all and every Jewish enterprise. The Mizrachi labor organization, at the same time, asked the world Mizrachi organization to instruct its leader, Rabbi Meir Berlin, to return to the council. Rabbi Berlin withdrew at the same time as Shragai.
