The 20th annual convention of the Hapoel Hamizrachi, the Orthodox Zionist Laborite Party, opened here today at the Hotel New Yorker to discuss the political situation of Zionism at the present time, the question of aid to Jews in Europe, and cultural problems of Jewish religious youth in the United States.
The convention, which will last three days, will also consider problems concerning the development of religious labor in Palestine and the support of the Jewish underground movement in Nazi-occupied countries.
