Two new Hapoel Hamizrachi settlements were established today in the northern Negev. One colony is comprised of former settlers of Kfar Etzion, who were taken captive in the fighting last year and were later released. The other is made up of 80 Jewish immigrants from Czechoslovakia.
A group of 150 members of a scouting group affiliated with Kibbutz Meuhad today founded a new settlement near Zichron Yaacov on land belonging to the Palestine Jewish Colonization Association. The new settlement has been named “Maagan Michael”.
