The 31st annual convention of the Mizrachi Organization of America will open here tomorrow with more than 1,000 delegates from all parts of the country attending. The convention will map out a revised program of Mizrachi activities in the United States, Dr. Pinkhos Churgin, president of the organization, announced here today.
The parley, which will last five days, will inaugurate American Mizrachi observance of the Golden Jubilee of the world Mizrachi movement. One of the highlights of the convention will be the official transfer of a deed for 120 acres of Jewish National Fund land at Ramat Gan, a suburb of Tel Aviv, to the religious-Zionist organization as the site for its projected Bar-Ilan University, to be established as the first religious university in Israel. The transfer will be made by Dr. Harris J. Levine, president of the Jewish National Fund of America, at a special ceremony.
