Closing its three-day convention today, the final session of the eighteenth convention of the Mizrachi Organization of America, meeting at the Hotel Statler, passed resolutions favoring establishment of a daily Hebrew Mizrachi newspaper in Palestine, creation of a Mizrachi weekly in English in the United States and condemnation of speculation in the Holy Land.
Other resolutions favored Jewish labor in Palestine, the inauguration of a Palestinian religious project honoring the late Baron Rothschild and the resolve to form a movement for the upbuilding of the cities of Safed, Tiberia and Hebron. The convention also passed a resolution favoring immediate convening of a World Jewish Congress.
