Greater harmony between the wings of the Mizrachi, Orthodox Zionist organization, is expected to result from an agreement concluded here.
The agreement concerns the activities of the parent organization, the Mizrachi, and its labor wing, Poel Ha’Mizrachi.
Fifteen hundred Brooklyn Jews paid $75,000 to attend a dinner Sunday night for the Brownsville. East New York Hospital. The charge was $50 a plate, and the hospital profited by more than $50,000. The dinner was held in the Hotel Commodore.
Simon H. Kugel, hospital president, and Jacob Rutstein, chairman of the dinner committee, were among the speakers. Guests of honor included Borough President of Brooklyn John J. Byrne, Supreme Court Justices Mitchell May and Harry Lewis, Judges Grover Moscowitz and Edward G. Richards and John H. MeCooey and John H. McCooey, Jr. Isaac Seigmeister, attorney, presided.
